I have a '99 Blazer LT and when i turn it on the security light stays on and there is a ticking sound like a blinker coming from somewhere around the glove box. what could this be??? Is there an easy fix?

The clicking noise behind the glove box is the turn signal / flasher selinoid. The fault lies in the multifunction switch for which there was a recall in some model years. The Multifunction switch it the turn signal, wiper, cruise control, etc.switch. $80 from a junk yard, $400+ if you take it to the dealer. As to the security light check the TBC fuse in the engine compartment fuse box.

Well, this did not quite get to its one year anniversary.. Please check the age of the posts before you resurrect them. Generally, posts over 6 months old should be left alone.
