Default Should T-case vacuum plug be loose?

My air only blows through the dash notmy floor or defrost and my front wheels don't engage in 4x4 so Im thinking its a vacuum leak some were. Should the 3 hose plug on top of the t-case be loose enough to spin? I think I got tranny fluid in it too. Were else is common to develop vacuum leaks?

no it shouldn't spin but what is spinning? The hose assby? Or the t/case switch? In either case the hoses should be lined up a certain way and pushed on tight.(make sure the allignment is correct-hoses lined up correctly and small nub on t/case switch lined up with the small hole to accomodate it on the hose assby.) If the transfer case switch spins...take the hose assby off and tighten. Then put back on your hose assby. I wouldn't be surprised if this was your problem. Keep us posted. Jerry

yes the switch is what the hose assby. plugs in/on to. That(the switch) should be tight, then make sure the hose assby. is on correctly as previously stated. Jerry PS since the hose assby. is basically three hoses brought together by the plug on the end, they will twist/turn if grabbed six inches above where they mount to the transfer case switch. Jerry
