Just wanted a quick shout out if you are expierencing a high fast idle.
I cleaned out the TPS,MAP,IAC,EGR,PCV,throttle body, checked for vac leaks
and after all that, curse words still filled the air. So next i went after the now pristine
IAC and found it was seized up real good & tight.
My 2cents of the day;just because it's clean doesn't equate functunalbility(sp).

Exact thing happened to me. If your rig sits up for a while and fast idles when you finally start using it again, check for a froze-up IAC!

so im having a high idle problem after cleaning my throttle body, and im thinking its my IAC. how would u know if its good or bad? i can push the valve in but it took a good amount of force to get it in back i was scared id break it when pulling it out. is this normal? or has it finally frozen up?

I think if I had it to do over again, and I wanted to test it, I would remove it from the throttle body, reattach the plug to it, have someone turn the key on, and see if it moves. I would be careful to not let it run but a second for fear of damaging it though.
If it did move you could at least rule it out as being your problem, but if it didn't it still could be good but not getting the command to move from the computer for some reason.
