That's why you avoid swerving. I've been without either swaybar for ~10k miles with no problems. If you swerve one way then immediately back it gets a bit interesting, especially with some speed behind you. Knowing this, I only swerve once and make it count. During normal driving I don't notice any difference in handling (but I don't race around either). It makes a HUGE difference in the way the front articulates when 4-wheeling though.

As a side note, about half of those 10k miles were done with a roof topper on (road trip!!), so it was a bit top heavy. But, no problems, even with freeway speeds and California driving (lots of lane changes and a couple of bouts of collision avoidance maneuvering).YMMV.

I haven't had any issues either other than it not passing inspection. I'm in the process of lowering my shackles and putting my sway bars back on...

update:

So i decided to follow the law and put everything on that needed to be put on insted of getting a stick thrown on it. but since it took me till about now to finish everything I have to wait until tomorrow morning. On a good note I scheduled an appointment at NTB tomorrow for an inspection and alignment. If you guys don't know NTB offers a garenteed alignment for so many years depending on how much extra you pay up to 5 years. I figure I better get this since 4 wheeling often messes with the alignment. So hopefully I didn't miss anything and I'll kill 2 birds with one stone tomorrow. I wish the garage that inspected me would have printed out a sheet to say what all it needed... so I could do a checklist.

So my muffler weld cost $58
New front sway bar repair kit $22
Rear sway bar assembly from the local junk yard $25

seems to me I only spent a little over $100 for what it needed. and the garage was going to charge me $1000 hmmm something seems a little off

Nice, that's not as bad as I was thinking it was going to cost you.
But, you have to pay for alignments? I got a deal when I bought tires I got buy 3 get 1 free special and I got free alignments and balancing for the life of the tires.

so now it failed once again. this time for a bad o2 sensor... great another $80. they also couldn't give me an alignment one of my ball joints has play in it. I don't even know if it will pass mechanically because the guy said they do the emissions first and if it fails that then they don't bother doing the safty inspection. I really don't feel like replacing ball joints and taking back to the garage again... This is turning into a nightmare

Sounds like your having a good ol' time with the blazer lol. So if you want to do something fun with your truck, you have to put it back to pass emissions every year and then change it back to how you want it? That doesn't sound fun to me. Gotta love Wisconsin!

actually I got fed up with the flowmaster and then I got fed up with the straight pipe. So i decided to put the stock muffler back on but the guy at monro muffler pissed me off so I went home and clamped it on. and recently I went 4 wheeling and the muffler fell off so now I needed to get it welded which I got welded yesterday finally. I think I'm going to leave the sway bars on now and save myself the trouble of putting them back on every year.

but in short. INSPECTION SUCKS!!!

isn't it in most places you don't have to get inspection the only time a car is inspected is when it gets sold?
