Just pull the VCM Blue connector and ohm it on the pins shown. Should not be a short, should be around 1500 ohms.
Still COULD be mechanically bad even if resistance is right.
BTW: If pulling IP fuse 3 allows dash gauges to work again find the cruise control module and disconnect it from harness, reinstall fuse. If everything still works, replace CC module.

Plugged in my obd2 and set on IM status and drove the truck it showed mph working so that would mean my speed sensor is fine, right?
