Im gonna do the test again I didnt do it the first time a buddy of mine said he did and all was well but to be safe i will do it tomorrow myself. Now this might be a dumb question but ive read on doing the drop test on my starter and altenator do these pertain the the power going to my fuel pump then

Not a dumb question at all. Same concept, just apply it to the fuel pump connections. There are a few links on the bottom of the voltage drop page, they might help you.

well I am trying to do the voltage drop test on the pump i watched a video it says hook DVM from positive terminal on battery to positive terminal on pump (Im assuming the grey wire) well he said i wouldnt get a reading until i turned the key on to put power to it and then take that reading but when i hook it up I get a 12.5 reading without the key being on. What am i not doing right here?

Positive probe goes to the battery positive terminal. Negative probe needs to go to the module side of the grey wire at the module connector. Best if you can test it right at the pump motor connection that is soldered to the motor. Will need to remove the module to do this, but the module must be plugged in. Using the lowest voltage setting on the tester, ignition in the run position, pump will activate for ~2 seconds and shut off, Voltage drop must be tested while the pump is running. Reading should be .1 volts or less.

Check this video, it shows how to test for voltage drop on positive and negative. When you probe the pump, it must be at the terminals directly on the pump motor, in the module.

well after doing all these tests for a week and thinking i did them write with no answers left on the problem cuz the tests seemed to be normal i broke down and bought another fuel pump and ac delco this time and put it in and bam started up instantly and has been running great for two days now. only thing im taking from this is even if it doesnt seem possible for something to be wrong with the symptoms occurring you just never know I guess. But learned alot this week on voltage and ohms thanks to captain hook so that was also a good thing for the future. Thanks Again
