i got this 2000 blazer zr2 auto matic,when you put it in gear either 2nd or 3rd or sometimes just putting it in drive the starter wil engage. i also have the problem with the hazard light relay .

 

I have a 96 Blazer with the same problem if i put it in overdrive you can hear the starter trying to engage as if you where trying to start it i am wondering if it is the neutral safety switch.

 

I was working on my Blazer tonight and found the problem i was having when i put in overdrive and my starter was engaging after tearing my dash all apart and going through all my wiring i decided let me check my neutral safety switch on the tranny i unpluged both plugs and checked them all looked good so i plug them back in and it stopped doing it it was fine again so tommorow i will by a new switch. so if anyone runs across this problem check your neutral safety switch. changed the neutral safety switch it did the trick for almost a week and now the starter is engaging when put into 3rd again , i wondering if i should use a gm part instead of this aftermarket one?
