Steering Column and Turn signal Help!
Recently my hazard light switch broke off and was just sitting in the hole. But you could still push it down and everything worked. Today my turn signal wasn't working so i messed with the button and my hazards came on and wouldn't go back off and then the right turn signal was stuck on. The only way to get everything to go off was to hold the button down as hard as you could. I finally fiddled with it enough that the copper piece on the spring inside the hole made connection and now just the turn signals will light up with the brake lights but wont blink and don't work otherwise.
Anybody have suggestions on what pieces need to be replaced and how to dissasemble the column with the air bag in there?

Haha Well i guess I should have looked there first. Anybody know if you can pull an unbroken one out of the same hole without breaking it?
Im going by a junk yard this week for some various parts and will pull one out if it will come without breaking it off.
Also would that switch still be causing the right signal to turn on when both signals are not engaged?

You might be able to pull one out but why even bother when it is such a cheap part anyways??? To answer your question about the turn signal, it is very possible that it is messing with it, when I broke my hazard switch it started acting insane but when I pulled the old one out and replaced it I lost all problems...

Alright, that's good. I noticed in that thread that it said something about 98+ vehicles. Mine is a 98 so is the process still the same to just to pull it out or is there more to it?
