I have problem in my 2wd 00 jimmy, the front tire rubbing inside suspension components include side of sway bar. The size of tire I use is 235/75/15 but after I contact GM they find for me the RPO codes and in RPO it say 205/70/15. Now I wanna put h&r 5mm or 10mm wheel spacer to eliminate this problem but I hear that wheel spacers will damage the wheel bearing, steering components, more width of wheel spacer more damage will occurs but I don't have any idea about wheel spacers and if this true or not this my first time I will use them.
So, if anyone have idea about them or can suggest another method to keep wheel away from suspension components please tell me
I'm surprised that going from a 205 to a 235 rubs, but at the same time I'm not.
I had spacers on the rear of my blazer, and have not had any issues. I will be moving them to the wifes sonoma for a better look lol.
HUBCENTRIC spacers are the best thing to use. I have none hubcentric, and have not had any problems.
I haven't ran them on the front, but many have.
The spacer I found 5mm H&R spacers not hubcentric only from 15mm and up it comes hubcentric and I don't know why
Here is a few pictures where rubbing places
Ummm I don't know that about rims. But now I remember one thing that I flip my sway bar up down because I think it was installed in wrong direction can anyone confirm that the way I installed sway bar is correct ?
I think you have the front anti-sway bar upside down. Flip it around. I have 255 tires on my stock suspension with no tire rubbing at all...even at steering lock.
I could be wrong but that sway bar looks installed wrong to me. Doesn't it normally sit below the tabs on the control arms? I think it's either upside down, or just installed wrong.
