So I have two 95 blazers one is an Ls the other is base model, I lost the key for the Ls and was gonna swap the ignition from my base model to the LS is there any type of security measures that would stop me from just swapping them and using the other key instead of paying for a new key

 

Did you ever figure out your misfires? You had a couple very kind replies and you never got back

 

Turned out to be a bad lifter I think, so I just went and got another blazer With a good motor

 

I would call a GM Dealer prepared with your vin # and see if they could cut it for you...They have for me...In my opinion, that would be better than tearing the switch out of the other...Just my 5 cents and today it's free!! Jerry

 

will I need anything else? I just bought the car I haven’t even got time to transfer the title yet, are they gonna ask for any type of information other than vin number

 

In my experience, they'll want to see registration and/or title in your name.
