Default Test drive with a small fire

I took my rebuilt 1998 for a test drive after replacing the water pump and fixing the leak on the radiator. I got down the road and turned around, then back in the driveway; smoke was coming from underneath. I popped the hood and saw flames. I had to get back in an pull the truck closer to the hose to put the fire out. I did leave the motor running. Turns out a rubber vacuum line coming from the 4x4 diaphram caught fire due to it laying across the exhaust manifold where it joins the exhaust. I crimped off the line which caused the fire because of the vacuum leak. I really need to get a scan tool. The engine is misfiring. Pops occasionally in the throttle body under heavy acceleration. Funny thing is it runs badly at first when the mass air flow is unplugged then accelerates normally.
