Thanks - I've tried search, nothing yet. I'll keep searching. How does that collar/pin system work?

what I would do next is follow the fr diff cable down to where it attaches to the fr diff. See it? It should be held in place with I believe 5-15mm bolts. Take them out, this is what I believe someone else is taking about. With these bolts removed, remove the plastic collar- SHOULDN'T just pull off and out of the way. Should be clipped to the fr diff shaft-you haven't seen yet. You may have a struggle getting it off but keep rotating it, pulling on it and it'll come off. This is step 1 verifying the fr diff cable is indeed hooked up. If it is or isn't get this cable housing off to the side and you'll see a shiny metal 'actuator', for lack of a better word. Hopefully the vehicle is(or can be) jacked up. If not, do it now. Pull this actuator out about quarter or half an inch-if vehicle IS in 2wd(verified by slip shaft free), pulling this shaft should pull the front of this system in(lock slip shaft in or reach over and rotate a front tire by hand-should lock the slip shaft in[:-]-if it does....great-because your issue IS NOT in the front differential. The bad news is you missed something along the way-but....we'll help you so not all is bad! good luck JP-PS that's my 2 cents worth and today it's on sale for free! To condense...if the cable was unhooked I would do all the above anyway cause you're in this deep already-but if the cable were unhooked-that most likely is your problem but I would double check the operation of the front diff anyhow.[:'(]
