Default RE: transfer case shift motor

The front driveshaft can make this a pain, but here is the procedure:

Removal Procedure [ol][*]Remove the transfer case shield. Refer to Shield Replacement.[*]Remove the transfer case wiring harness connectors from the motor/encoder.[*]Remove the bolts that secure the motor/encoder to the transfer case.[/ol]

The transfer case encoder motor is located on the driver side front portion of the transfer case.

thanks for the info, now do you have to move the drive shaft and if so what is involved in doing that.

Heya.. It was pretty simple to unbolt the T-Case motor from the T-case, you mentioned that the drive shaft would make it difficult. Does that mean you have to remove the drive shaft? I said there fiddling with the T-case motor trying to get it to wedge out some way or another and it just wouldn't fit.

I also had a couple other questions about the brake switch.
