Default vacuum lines sucked flat

I noticed the other day some vacuum lines sucked flat. They were by the firewall on the drivers side. Is there a problem causing this? It's not normal is it? Are the lines just old and weak? My cruise control quit working recently. It's likely that this could be related right? Thanks

happens to vacuum lines when they get old. Usually when they are exposed to oil or trans fluid they become soft

HVAC and 4WD will be affected by the vacuum lines. Cruise control is all electronic, not related to the vacuum line problem.
