Exclamation vacuum problems (i have pics)

1999 s10 blazer LS 4x4 LS (3 button 4wheel drive)

I bought it from a farmer recently and am going through it trying to fix what i find.

right now i think i have vacuum lines not connected right
when i put my heater control to point to the floor it starts to change to it but then changes back to defrost eventhough im still selected floor

here are some pictures i took
(note the vacuum line with the clear plastic line is hooked to the big vacuum line i think)
from my research i dont think they are supposed to be hooked into eachother like that.
anyway here are the pics

now this image i found on another website and i think it is stock/factory but im not sure and i can not tell if there is 2 lines coming off the main manifold vacuum line like mine does at its check valve because this pic dont show it well

thanks

Question

i think people misunderstood me earlier when i said "i fixed it" what i was referring to was i fixed the extra large pictures so they were not as large as they were (i resized and reposted them)

i did NOT fix my problem

if someone could help it would be great

when i select "floor" when the fan is set to high you can hear it try to change to the floor but then it switches right back to front or defrost.

it does "try" to switch to the floor but it seehelpms like it detects something then stops trying and reverts back.

where is my cruise control vacuum line because i disconnected everything off that manifold vacuum line (the line with the check valve) except i left it connected to the fender wall (i think there is a canister in there) and i capped the areas where i disconnected and the cruise still worked
heater didnt work after that and im not sure about 4x4 mode
i could here some noises when i selected 4hi or put it in nuetral and select 4lo
both made noises but i dont know if it actually engaged or not
thanks for any help

with all the hoses hooked up like in my above pics:
if i goto a dirt road and put into 4hi or 4lo and put my foot on brake the front tires dont spin like the back do
so i thought well maybe might front disc are working better then my back discs so i let up on the brake pressure and you can tell the 4x4 isnt working

what vacuum line is it that actually goes to the switch on the transfer case?
i should have 3 vacuum lines i think
cruise control
hvac
4x4 switch

please help me identify each
thanks

Start here - vacuum line pics are about 2/3s down. This is for a '96 Sonoma; only difference from yours is that you don't have a vacuum reservoir ball hanging from the hood (your reservoir is tucked in the driver's side fender well).

There is no vacuum line to the cruise control....it's motor-driven.
