i would get a GM rebuilt water pump. they fit the best. i don't like the new offshore chinese pumps....

 

I went out and got one from autozone it was only 52 bucks. It works perfect now and my truck runs way cooler and better.

 

Go ahead and change the pump. Mine failed this year at 91,000 miles. I had a hard time at the fan blade. I went to AutoZone for my stuff and went back 2 hours later for a tool to take my frozen bolts off the pulley off the fan. I spent $20.00 and used my AutoZone card for my next purchase to save me $$$$$. I bought the Duralast chain vise-grip, AND rented the Ford toolkit at the same time, that has the 1 and 7 16th open end long handeled wrench. The mix is 50/50.
