weird headlight and lock problem
I have a 98 blazer. it just started this weird thing with the locks and headlights. First the locks just lock themselves and when they do that the headlights come on. i checked the switches and it is still doing it. i will be watching tv in the house and all of a sudden the headlights just come on or drls depending on the time of day, and the keys will be in my pocket. i have asked everyone i know and just cant figure it out. on top of that my keyless remote will unlock the doors but not lock them. any suggestions will help.. thank you
is there anything i can do about it or do i need to take in to a shop? it does it randomly. Maybe a way to disable it untill i can get it to a shop? thanks for the info so far. it makes sense

thanks for the info. i tried unplugging it and i still have the same problem as mentioned above. i have no idea what is going on with it. i might just have to break down and take it to a shop and take the hit. another thing i found is that the locks will lock by themselves and its like if you were to hold the lock switch down. when the blazer is started the locks wont even work. if you hold the lock side of the switch down, the headlights come on. as well as it doing it by itself. i would tear into it but i am not that good on electrical. if it comes to turning a wrench then i can do it...lol. well if anyone has any other suggestions or this problem has happened to you, i would appreciate some imput. also i dont know if this helps but when i turn the key to start it the doors lock. this never happened before. thanks

You could swap it out with a known good one that as the RKE option, also. If you do, you need the airbag module from the donor truck or your airbags won't work. You've also got to do a 30 minute passlock relearn procedure.
