There is a very annoying creaking noise coming from the dash behind the glove box. A couple people i have talked to thought that it might be the climate control but i wanted to get a second opinion to be positive. Anyone?

depends...what is the truck doing when the noise occurs?
can you do anything that makes it happen...like move climate controls?
you could always take the glove box out and have a helper watch as you move the controls from position to position.
just some ideas.

its not a pain but it takes some time.
does it happen when you start the truck all the time?
have you checked your vacuum lines? it could be having an effect on the vac controls for the dampers in the hvac system.
i would drop the glove box prior to starting the truck and have some one look in there when you start it...see if anything is moving to cause it.

yeah, it does it all the time. Its weird though because it sounds like the creaking is like switching gears..if you get what i mean. like the sound changes.
I'll drop the glove box tomarrow then and try and figure it out.
appreciate it
