Unhappy

Ok folks, long story short i bought my soon to be wife a blazer as a early Christmas present. Bad NEWS! The blazer makes a whining noise (sounds like its super charged) While in gear, any gear. doesnt do it in neaurtal or park. Ive checked out everything it all loooks good, it still has power, but people tell me its the torque converter. Transmission does not slip or grind at all, and the service 4 wheel light is on and all the actuators is good, i have the 4 buttom 4wd with auto. when i start the truck all the lights on the 4wd unit stay on... What should i do is the whining noise my transmission? even tho it doesnt slip or grind? and what do u guys think the 4 wheel drive serivce light is? would auto zone be able to find a code from that? if they plug there machine in?

thanks ahead, this is my first post and pray i get help, the wife's angry.

Sam

Also, i changed the transmission fluid and added 1 quart of lucas transmission flud, she and i love the truck we need to get this little bug fixed, the truck has 104k ORIGINAL miles. thanks
