wiring prob with the POS

I would be my bet that what ever wire got melted by the manifold it is that circuit that is causing the trouble. I would check the wire for continuity/resistance, if the wires got hot enough from the manifold then it could have changed their ability to pass electrical current efficeintly. Just because the "wires look fine" does not mean that they're functionally "fine" these things have to be checked with meters....

finally my prob is solved. i took it to dealer and they had it for a wek and gave up but gave me number for an electrical specialist they said my front axle switch had shorted and thats probly why i been hearin the noise in the front end from the 4-wheek drive not disengaging in my other post. and they said that was shortin fuse causing altenator to stop charging and killing all my power. so now we know or at least i will when i get truck back this after noon. thanks for your help ppl

So was the front axle switch the problem? It seems your truck is doing the exact same thing as mine is now. The only difference is that my 4wd never got stuck.
