Ok...so I learned today that the Trailblazers use a coil spring....had no idea...never looked at one. I just knew that 2004 was the last year for the US Blazers and the the Trailblazers are a larger vehicle than the S10 Blazer.

Something odd went on here......

 

Thanks Lanny. I did some research and this is supposed to be the right part but it doesn't fit properly. I'm just going to fab this one to work.

On a side note. Can someone please measure the distance from the ground to the bottom of the fender flare for me please? Mine measures 36" in the front and 34" in the back (ZR2). I have released all the tension I can on the torsion bar but I can't get the front to lower any further. Does anyone know what the factory height is? Or does the rear suspension need replacing? Front needs to go down 2 inches or the rear needs to come up 2 inches.

Thanks guys for all the help! This is a big project I inherited and I'm not familiar with Blazers at all. I appreciate all of you helping me out!

as zr2 dan said well more in a nut shell is that zr2 parts wont fit on an ls also take it from me (i tryed to put zr2 parts on my ls) the frames are different not only are the wider but also stuff like the a-arm tabs are different and the leafs are longer then the ones in the ls

Correct !
The ZR2 part is different than a non ZR2 A Arm. It mounts to the frame differently also, creating the wider track, that is the reason for the different sway bar mounting tab. The part you have is approx. 1.95 inches off in width and 2" off in height because it is a non ZR2 part !! The sway bars are identical. P.S. I have the CV shafts for a ZR2 that are in good condition if you have problems in the future finding them.

 

 

All ZR2's came with a sway bar front and rear. some "owners" remove them for better articulation off road.

 

Moog and AC Delco are wrong for the ZR2 and they are quit aware of it. I sent back two pair and just replace the joints and bushing. If you already installed the new ones you will need to cut the brackets off your old arms and weld in place.

 

What bushings worked for the lower? I’m having trouble finding some for my 99 zr2.
