That was my understanding of the original thread also. It might just be my truck but I had to ground out the yellow wire on both sides to get quad beam on both headlamps.

A member messaged me and asked how I wired my 2000 Chevy Blazer with my HID kit. I made a video to show him. Here it is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=27IEk10InnM

This is how I wired it using a 12VDC 30/40A relay.
30 -- Blue - Low Beam Positive
85 -- White - High Beam Negative
86 -- Black - High Beam Positive
87 -- Yellow - Ground

In theory, it should work the same without the HID kit and you would just tap into the stock wires. Hope this helps.

Just curious will this work on an 92 k1500 ?

Edit: I might need to go with a relay system.

Found this mod a little to late. I just bought the LMC relay kit. Went to put it on, and couldn't help but notice the wire colors on my 95 Jimmy were different. It says to splice the yellow and purple, and brown wire separately for the park lamps.

After reading through here, let me see if I have it right. I splice the Tan wire to the yellow, and the light green to the purple on the harness kit?

I just did mine. Grounded yellow wire on drivers side only, no issues.

Stopped working period or stopped working on one side, it may have just been a poor ground.

This is such an interesting thread to read as the UK model Blazer comes with the quad beam mod already installed.
I have checked both of my Blazers and I can have either the dip lights on, mean beam on or all four just by controlling the stalk on the steering column.
That's another differences I have found between the UK and US models.
