Default 1995 Blazer Antenna Cable Replacement

Anyone know what's involved to remove/replace the radion Antenna cable from the radio to the extension cable/antenna. I already replaced the latter and that did not fix the problem. (NOTE, I did notice that when I unplugged the extension cable from the main antenna cable, the male prong inside the cable, that leads to the radio, was loose. However it did seem to snap back into the housing of the cable). Anyway, if someone has specific knowledge/details of how to remove the main radio antenna cable, I would very much appreciate that information/help.

What exactly are you talking about?

You pull the smaller male plug from the stock head unit.

Then get an adapter for aftermarket head units. It's $20 at most.

Metra - Antenna Adapter for 1988 - 2006 GM Vehicles - 40-GM31

Just look around a bit.

Try best buy chat or crutchfield chat

Or call a dealership or local car audio shop

Default 1995 Blazer Antenna Cable Replacement

What I was looking for is how to actually get at the main Antenna cable from radio Can you just go through the Glove box by reniving it, or do you need to tak off the dash facia. It seems that it goes through the firewall somewhere close to the heater/AC case enclosure. I'll assume once I disconnect the short cable from antenna to long cable that runs to the radio, I would tie a heavy string to the cable and pull it through the fire wall, diaconnect at tthe radio, then connect new cable to radio and string then pull back through fire wall?
SO question is, what;s the best way to get at the antenna cable at the radio and replace it through firewall to connect to short cable from antenna.
