Exclamation 2001 blazer 4dr equipped with bose need help before upgrading speakers.

The car is a 2001 chevy blazer 4dr equipped with bose from factory. I want to upgrade my front door panel speakers and i want to make sure i get some components that will fit the door panel. I knoiw that the door panel speakers isize is 6.5 but how tall can the speaker be before it hits the metal windowbracket?? will a 1 inch spacer clear or will i ahve to use a half inch spacer if i was to buy a taller speaker?? What brand/model speakers are you guys using?? i already have a aftermarket head unit. Just need a set of components, ohh and i already have an amp for my components. Help is greatly appriciated.

I had purchased a pair of image dynamics ctx 6.5 components, the mountain depth on those were 2.75 inch. and the heigth of those were 3 inch., Those din't clear they were too big. I was hoping to get some feedback on which pair of speakers you guys are using on your 2001 Blazer or similar to mine.
