Default 99 blazer tape deck

So I finally picked up some subs and an amp for my blazer but i have some questions related to the tape deck. First off i dont know why a 99 has a tape deck but that was what was in there when i bought it second or third hand so im stuck with it for now. what i was wondering is if i can wire an amp into this or do i need to buy a cd deck? my first car was a chevy corsica and when i went about trying to wire up an amplifier i found out it didnt have the ports so i had to buy a deck.. obviously at some point soon i will be buying a better system for it than a tape deck but im somewhat poor so im wondering if i can still get the stock one to work without having to rip everything apart

you can buy a loc ( line output converter ) which will wire from your stock speaker wires and give you rca outputs for an rca connection. now, i would replace the deck with a nice after market one you will get a way better sound and signal from one, but this will get you by if "need be".

Scosche Industries LOC80 Adjstbl Line Out Converter 80 Watts#

i got a cheap flip out tv on trade and the rca outputs were fried. i ran one of these to my eq and it worked and sounded fine tbh.
