Back tailgate pillar ?

Default Back tailgate pillar ?

I was wondering if the vent thing on each side would hurt anything if i took them off because with the sub in my truck they rattle.I took them off and now that rattle is gone,so i was just wondering what they did or were supposed to do?

it does nothing it just cover the vents to the inside of the car but if u take them off it will look like crap

no,im not talkin about the whole cover,im talkin about the small vent under it when you take it off
