Default CB Antenna mounting

so i guess im not really sure on where to post this one but either way

so im looking to mount my antenna in a different spot, my mag mount doesnt work for me, i have 2 4ft antennas i want to mount on my truck but i have no idea where, so for those of you who have cb's where did you mount your antenna
i was thinking in the back off to the side on the plastic piece on the bumper or maybe in the front, i did have it on top on the roof rack but an extra 4ft made me not clear alot of places

Does your antenna require a ground? If so the plastic bumper pieces will mean you have to add a grounding wire to the fram as well. I've considered that spot as a possible mounting place for a CB antenna too. I just have a mag mount at the moment.

I mounted mine on the bumper end cap but it is very directional when it comes to trans and receiving. I actually just made a new mount for mine to get the antenna up a little higher. I will add pics tomorrow.

I mounted my antenna to a piece of flat stock. Of course I have a 102 inch whip with a beehive connector at the end that works well for me. The way I mounted mine, I didn't have to drill a hole in the body or have a wire running through my taillight. I think mine looks pretty clean. The piece of flat stock is held on by a HUGE bolt (this bolt was stock, came from the factory like that) that was already in the back bumper.
