Oh. Gotcha. The way I see it, the whip is so long, it still sits above people that put mag mounts on their roof. And I park in a parking deck everyday. Didn't want the whip to bend too far when going through the deck.

Everybody talks about putting it on the spare tire rack but that's easier said then done. When you start drilling on the stationary part of the rack, there are a lot of components over there to be cautious of. I didn't want to take a chance, plus I didn't want to drill into the rack.

Drill the rack? Lol why ? they got clamps silly

they just have those u rings with 4 nuts and it bolts right on

Unfortunately, with the 29 LTD, it won't fit there without cutting the plastic mold, and making a custom bracket for it... I tried to fit mine in there, and it's just barely too wide, by maybe 1/4 inch
