OMFG Dont judge me but click this
Seriously, i have a 750/5 crap amp pushing 2 of those and 4x JL 6.5"s.... those are the single most power efficient subs i have ever seen! considering they are only sharing about 300 watts of amp juice, they hit pretty damn good!
and at $50 for the pair, and a $40 subzero box, you have a set of 12's, loaded, for under 1 bill. enjoy

one day i will feed them with the jl 500/1 sitting in the garage and stack a 300/2 on the doors, but for now my little 5 chan is doing all it was intended too and more!

thats one thats not bad for the price, i have installed a few of these in peoples cars and there not bad just make sure they have a good return policy as i have seen a few here and there with bad amps in the set from the factory.

also here is a combo you may like
subs

amp

box

i know what your all thinking. but i will tell you a friend of mine bought these and i yelled at him. then i installed it and was rather surprised indeed. its not Fi audio but it is an underground company that hasnt taken off anywhere yet. 2 subs for 40 bux.
that whole setup for 150 after shipping, plus wiring. i would suggest as a temp system, you will be impressed at what they do. or buy two of the hifonics from above and stick to it for like 10 dollars more.

I think I'm going with this set up. How's the amp look for this?

with those subs i would recommend this amp.
http://cgi.ebay.com/POWER-ACOUSTIK-P...item35a4a36f07
it will push 2400 rms at 1 ohm, and its d class

i have used these amps on a lot of setups and they really do push some power. i even ran these at cruisefest on weekend. We had 4x VFL 15" subs at .5 ohm on each one and it played constant with no issues.

Could I wire these subs up to run 2 ohms? What would be the best way to go with that amp? It looks like that amp would maybe blow them. I'm not sure because I don't know a whole lot. Just want the subs and amp to be paired perfectly.

that amp would be lucky to do a true 900wrms. it's fused to 90 amps, at a perfect 14.4v it would do 1296watts before it pops the fuses for drawing too many amps. but then you have to factor in efficiency which is probably 70-80% at best, even lower on cheaper amps... figure 75% is 972 watts, and not many people are gonna keep a steady 14.4v so it's going to be even less.

either way, i think it would be a better choice then the soundstorm amp and its all temp anyhow. which of the two would you run? or do you have a better choice for the money?
