Deck needed?

need this to be answered quick as I'm going to be ordering my equipment some time tonight
my question is... do you really need an aftermarket deck for the subs and amp to work? i just have the stock one in it right now

you canoot run amps off factory systems am i correct? im not sure in new cars but in old cars i kno you cant....

you can run a system off of a factory radio. you need a line output convertor. It converts speaker wires (just tap off speaker wires behind the radio and if converts to rca's. Just tap the yellow wire behind the radio for switched power (for the remote) You CAN do this an any car in the world, old or new, amplified or not (with very very few exceptions) some cars are just goofy.

An aftermarket deck is usually the better way to go though.
Primary reason is it makes it easier to adjust your equipment (especially sub volume)versus most factory units (IMO anyway).
If you decide to keep the factory unit, remember you need a good line output converter to have the sound at its best.
