Driver side speakers do not work

Just bought a new to me 98 2Dr Jimmy.
Its got a few small issues but one i cant figure out is thet driver side speakers dont work. It had the factory radio so I took the aftermarket from my Blazer to see if it wasnt the radio and got the same results.
I also checked the wires with a volt meter on the drivers side door speaker (had the panel off for other reasons) and didnt get anything.
Anyone got any ideas?
