Factory Antenna Question
So my truck spent a few hours as a submarine. One (of many) of the problems that followed was very bad radio reception. I could park outside a radiostation and it would still be static laced.
Well I pulled up the carpet on the passenger side and found a potential fix. The end of the wire is routed past the TCCM and down to where the front of the P seat would be. Just before the end, it is taped to some foam which is glued to the floor board. The wire is attached to a circut board kind of thing (almost like the defroster on the rear window) before ending in a short capped end on the other side of this board.
Here is my problem: The water destroyed the ciruit-y board-y thing. 1) What is this guy called? 2) Can I get a new one somewhere. 3) Is there a quick replacement that circumvents this piece all together? (i.e a new "magic wireless" antenna that straps on to my windshield or something)
