chances are you wont be able to tell the difference anyway, so go with which ever company you feel most comfortable with.

Look pretty nice, $75

They say they are 6", but the guy from besbuy said they would fit. Is this true?

Should fit without any real trouble for the most part there's only actually a .25" difference in the outside diameter of MOST (not all) 6" & 6.5" speakers. Not to mention most factory speaker's and locations seem a little undersized, I know my Jimmy was. If they don't happen to go right in it isn't that hard to make a couple of baffles from wood or the like.

Got them in with no problem! they fit pretty good, not exact, but i have 2 screws on each one holding them in nice and solid.

The sound is great!! So much better than stock.

Thanks alton!

Alpine speakers are very nice, and are reasonable priced. I have them in my Blazer along with aftermarket tweeters to up the voice.

If you think they sound great now, get an amp on them and you'll never believe what they can sound like. However, at this point if you do go and put an amp on them I'd redo the way they're mounted. Two screws probably wouldn't be anywhere near enough to properly hold them in with some real power to drive them.

Yes, Alpine makes some very nice speakers. However, your point about adding the tweeters is exactly what I was talking about in post #10. The Alpines do sound very good, but the relaxed sound of them leaves most people feeling they're not loud enough, hence the added tweeters.

Alton, show me a decent amp for not too much that would power those perfectly. I also dont have any other speakers in the car working, so the amp would just be powering those 2. I'd also like to try and keep kicker in the family

Well, first of all, look at post #4 in this thread, there's a good list there. Here's a Kicker amp too.
