I've got my power wire zip tied to the wiring that runs along the firewall just below the hood, so far it's been out of the way and hasn't been a problem. If you've found some place on the passenger's side that's a little better IMO but make sure you can see the hole on both sides, my entire passenger side engine bay is filled with climate control equipment and the last thing I wanted was coolant leaking all over because I drilled through the heater core, much less freon escaping into the atomsphere because I drilled into the heat exchanger for the A/C. Really it's important to find a bolt or something that goes all the way through the firewall and is visible on both sides to use as a referance point and take careful measurements on both sides to make sure you won't damage something when you drill through.
