Hey bobditts!!!! I got a question.
Well i finished up my kickpanels and tested them out and I'm having some really bad midbass peaks. They are all sealed off, and i know thats not good, so i need to vent them somehow. They sound absolutely awsome in a baffle in free air (the way i tested them for aiming), so im thinking about hacking off the entire back piece of the panel to expose it to more air. Will i run into any problems with this? Thanks bro.

behind each stock kick should be a plastic piece attatched to the body metal. Remove each one and cut a hole in the side of your kicks to match. Also put some polyfil in the kicks to make the enclosure seem larger. Do not pack it in the kick tightly, just loosely fill it.

Well i ended up just hacking a bunch of the bottom and back of the kick panel off and it sounds PHENOMINAL. I honestly cant ask for more... VERY realistic and great midbass. I was gonna use those vents you talked about, but after listening to them i was so pleased i just left them. Thanks for the help. I guess these drivers just like to be in free air. I'm gonna post a bunch of pics in my build thread so be on the lookout!

Lets see those pics. Might do kicks for comps in my blazer, and a mid bass in the door.

Hah. Well for power I have an orion 8004, so I might need another amp to do that? I don't have any plans set in stone for that at this time. Deff open to ideas.

My kicks came out really good. I am truly happy that i went with infinty... they sound f*cking amazing! I'm gonna buy some silk domes of some sort to put in the a-pillars to bring the stage up though. Right now its right at the middle of the dash, i think i may have aimed my set off a bit. But nontheless they are SOOOOO clear and im really suprised with the midbass. I think I need to build a new (bigger box) for my sub because the comps now hit the 80-100hz ranges that i was forcing my sub to play. I need the sub to be a little smoother now, theres too much impact! I'll probably play with the idea of a vented enclosure now...
