well i think we technically need a pic of the back side of the radio. focusing on the cd changer port. and if your going to do that, then you might as well just install the aftermarket deck while the radio and dash are out.

yea i will probably just do that than... sounds like it would be a big hastle to keep the stock radio in.

so now that i will just go with the aftermarket option... i have a kenwood deck and want to upgrade to maybe an alpine. anysuggestions? ide like to try and stay under $300 which i know will give me plenty of options.

nice HU/s but you will get better IPOD control from a jvc, say the KDPDR30. I sell both Pioneer and JVC, like the control lots better on the JVC>

I have always been a fan of the Pioneer HU's and I think this would be a perfect one for me to install. I have a Blaupunkt one that has not been installed in the blazer but was in my taurus SHO before, but it doesn't perform well graphically when it gets cold out. This pioneer DEH-P6900UB, seems like it has all the features I could want plus easy iPod controls and should hold up in the cold better since my brother has one with the same display type and has no problems (lower model number, actually I think it is the most basic Pioneer deck with the same type of display as on the pioneer DEH-P6900UB). I personally would go with the Pioneer one, plus I have pioneer speakers in the truck too, and the display matches the LEDs I just put in the dash.

i've hadthe DEH-P9800BT in my truck for about a year. i love it. there are so many audio controls that can enhance your sound so much better. I agree with hillbilly on the JVC having better ipod controls and i sell Pioneer, JVC, Kenwood and found that the pioneers have better sounding audio. you can get a lot more crisp highs and booming lows
