Hello Blazerfriends,
because my ex-boyfriend used to have an old chevy blazer for long trips and I really enjoyed it, I bought a 1994 Chevy S-10 Tahoe last friday
The car is in perfect condition and I can not wait to go on a trip with my friends!!
But I do not have a stereo in my car! But my aunts boyfriend gave me a Jvc Kd-hdr60 for free. Do you know if this would work in my car? Because I am a little bit afraid of doing anything wrong.-YES, I want to install it by myself!!! And dont think I can not do it guys!! I know a little bit about electronic! But not about car stereo!
So could you maybe help me? In the installation guide it says, I need a 12 V DC, negative ground electrical system?! Do I have it? How can I find out? And does anybody know the watt of the speakers, I think they are still the original ones!
Thanks alot everybody!!!!!!
Andrea

well, first things first. any radio will work in the blazers if you put some effort into it.
but to make things easier, locate an owners manual for your radio online if you don't have the original. then, go to best buy or another electronics store, talk to a geek squad member and they will help you find the correct harness for the radio, mounting brackets, and so forth. then all you need to do is take the old radio out and plug the new one in haha.
you have all the necessary wires in your truck, i promise. the stock speakers will sound better with an aftermarket radio and i personally don't know their wattage. but, you won't blow them if you give them a new radio to power them.
