yea I've had some weird things happen too... I'm pretty sure its the radio this time. Any idea how hard it would be to replace the back lighting in the stock radio? Some of the lights burnt out.

I don't think it would be, when we first had my head unit installed everytime we let off teh gas and/or hit a bump the back light would dim like it was dyin, maybe a wire was shot in the head unit coming from your connectors? i know in my dads truck we have the same head units and sometimes it dosen't shut off the AMP and tko's the battery

eveything is functioning other than the sound, I've checked everything. I guess the real test would be to hook the head unit up to something else and see if it puts out sound

True, how old is the head unit btw? If it's an older one it may just be it's day, if it's newer the head unit its self might have a short, never really disected mine

Nah that's not old, maybe it didn't like your music? lol but like you said your best bet is to just try it with something else and cross your fingers, i hope it works out for you i can't drive without music hell i can't even sit through class without some country
*edit* and apparently my parents cant either my dads truck his jeep and my moms infiniti all have some sort of aftermarket sound system
