ORIGINAL: TehFattie

Amp: For any of the above, go with the Massive P.1500 as your amp. Once the subs and amp are broken in you can run with the gain all the way up and the Bass Boost all the way up for the DMX.
wow.........

Sounds nuts, I know, but the DMX will take it in stride without sounding like crap. It amazed me.

lol, you're going to call me out on a phrasing typo? Working in the subs, forgive me, oh great one.

Also, I keep my bass boost off, completely. I hate the distortion it creates on my IDMax. (Along with the fact that I'm running the IDMax 500w over rated power already.) However, the Massive P.1500 works VERY well with a single 15" Massive DMX, yes, with Bass Boost and Gain turned "allllll the way up"; to put it your way. I didn't say I suggest doing it on a pair of Alpine, ID, Kicker (lol), Pioneer, Sony, Hifonics, Cerwin-Vega, Empire, Jensen, MA Audio, or Diamond subs. I said I suggest it with a Massive DMX. If you haven't heard a Massive DMX on said amp with said settings, I fail to see your issue with it. If you have heard said sub on said amp with said settings and thought it was terrible, by all means, share.

My suggestion of Jensen is simple. I've had TERRIBLE experience with Pioneer head units. Faulty units, poor quality touch screens, and the like. I have several friends who have had the same problems with Pioneer, had the money, and I convinced them to go with either Jensen or (in most cases) Alpine, and whichever they chose, they're happy. I've had VERY good experience with Jensen. Cheap, no complaints so far about quality, and the features match what I'm looking for. However, I would NEVER try to compare Jensen's product on the same plane with Alpine's. If Alpine had a head unit that did what I want and was in my price range, I'd buy it. Hands down. No competition. From every experience I've had, Alpine is best. I know guys with Alpine units that have outlived numerous cars, multiple door speaker setups, and uncounted subs and amps.
