That's why you buy aftermarket - because it produces better AND louder sound than factory. You just have to cover all the frequencies from 20-20,000hz without over-powering one another. Do that and you can have loud and good sound.

as an IASCA judge, I can tell you right now that any system that is capable if producing 176db of noiseis NOT capable of sounding good (sound quality) at the same time. 176db will overpower just about everything except the higher frequencies. Even then, anything you might be capable of hearing will not be enjoyable because you will be trying to breathe and keep your heart from skipping a beat.

i can believe the 176 on a junk meter....But there is no way in hell that the setup you listed did a true 176db on the TL. First off, you wouldnt be able to sit in the car during a burp, second it takes a lot of time, money and experience to do a 176db. It isnt just something you can do buy going out and throwing some flea market junk or walmart/best buy garbage in your vehicle. You might be able to do a 130 on a true SPL meter.

proof of what? proof that 176db in a small enclosed space is capable of killing you? Go to a big SPL show and try it if you dont believe me.

Alright so i did a little more research and got a price range. i was thinking of spending between $500 and $1000. I was looking at an alpine system but open to all suggestions. i would want to replace all stock speakers dash's are 4x6's front door's are 6.5's and back's are 6x9's i believe. also i would wanna put a dual sub-woofer box in the back.
