Default New Door Speakers

Mk, so.. my speakers in my truck right now are pretty much on their last legs, and I want to upgrade them anyway so I have better sound. But here's the catch.. I don't want to spend $1,000 on speakers for my doors. I was thinking on grabbing 2 sets of these and popping them in. I've already taken the door panels off to see what size they are. I chose these because I have a Clarion HU and well, I just like Clarion lol. Price is pretty good on these too I think. Let me know what you guys think. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...4&Tpk=SRG1621R

I'm not looking for massive amounts of bass, I'll leave that to the future amp/box when I get around to it. Just need speakers that sound better and don't distort at high levels.

Oh, and my dash speakers, anyone know what size those are? I have a couple Pioneer 6x4s that are good.

Seems like a nice deal for the price.

No kidding. For like 32 bucks, ya can't beat it. Are you going to just run them off the head unit, or run an amp to them?

Yeah, I'd get em. They should sound fine off deck power.

any speaker is better than stock. so, go for it. i ran pioneer drop in door speakers for a long time and they sounded a heck of a lot better than stock so you can't really go wrong.

35 watts. meh.

And there isn't much difference if you run them on the head unit...I would save for an amp to run them.

For the head unit, you can turn the bass all the way down and the treble all the way up. This will give the tweeters some clarity.
