New Install Question
Hey Guys,
Okay so I'm currently installing a Stereo i previously removed from my 1997 Sun fire.
When removing it i did not take note on how the system came out.
Now I'm working on putting the system in my Blazer. First of All, what is the best place to use as a ground, in my sun fire it was just bolted into the body, can i use a seat mount or is there a better alternative, secondly it seems to me that there should be a ground wire from the battery to the amp. As this was not the case in the sun fire, will the ground to body, work just as well?.
Any Help is Appreciated.
Thanks

a ground to the body is ideal, since you want the cable to be less than 18 inches (about a foot really) just make sure you scrape the paint and undercoating off for bare metal contact and get a good self tapper then let loose. to prevent rust i suggest a small spray of rattle can primer if you are really worried about the rust. i never got any though.
just to add on - you might want to go ahead and do a BIG 3 upgrade just to help the system a bit. its a cheap way to help a lot.
