Default no bass?

hi i have a 97 blazer and have some time been wondering wat speakers i had in my doors...i found out today that the previous owner had installed 4 formula in door speakers 150watt 4ohms...there is a jvc head unit, but my system cannot handle that much bass. I figured it could with all afterkmarket speakers and do you guys think that a amp would help?

door speakers in general will not produce much bass. Especially if completely underpowered by the headunit. You could always buy a 4ch amp to power the door speakers. If properly tuned, you will notice a great improvement.
