I'm probably mounting some slim lights to my roof rack soon... I'll be seeing if there's room for any more wires under the 3rd brake light, lol.

Those lights are gonna be spanky when you get 'em painted

Those lights are lookin pretty sweet. I am curious about this magnetic mount thing though. I'll be waiting on those pics, and esp the ones from the driver seat, whenever you get them.

well, the magnetic mounts were a spur of the moment thing... I had never seen them before and could not find them on pilot's website. The only two I have seen up to this point are the two ive got.... they have withstood a pressure washer and a good size tree branch, didnt even knock em offline....

cost to get it wired in, not the magnetic mounts??? not sure what you mean... the mounts have nothing to do with the way it is wired... its just a standard off road light bolted to a magnetic bracket so you dont have to drill... i could swap the pilots out for my KC daylighters on the magnetic mounts.... they wire up exactly like any other auxillary light would... and as for cost.... free if you know how to do it..lol

as far as good brands... im gonna go ahead and warn you from experience... KC HILITES ARE OVERRATED!!!!!!! you can get lights that are just as bright and well built for much much cheaper......

oh i didnt know why i said the wired part haha but i meant like wat is the other way to put them on, other than the magnetic mount but the magnetic mounts have got my attention because of wat u said they have withstood so far haha i was thinkin something weak like my sattelite radio reciever that is magnetically mounted on the roof as well

I wonder if my harddrive magnets will hold my lights in place... too bad the roof rack isn't magnetic, lol.

Not sure if hard drive magnets would work but the stock speaker magnets or old speaker magnets will work. I am thinking about getting some more lights. Once I install a body lift I will mount some lights in the tow hook location as the tow hooks will be below the bumper, I also might get some thin rectangular lights to put on the roof racks.

Edit: By the way the lights look sweet, I would say to make it look good you need at least 3 lights up top or square ones. But the Mickey Mouse look is okay. I have to say they look like real good lights.

Mounting lights that low on your truck isn't such a good idea... Not if you do a lot of off-roading, that is... They tend to get filled with water, lol.

And the harddrive magnets I have, seem to be stickier than the stock speaker magnets... ahhh well... I just need to get some decent wire for the amount of lights I want for me roof, then I'll be good to go with the roof lights as well, lol
