i beg to differ on that one blazinloud. they don't matter whatsoever when you use them for your subs really but when you use them for speakers it does matter.

i ran a set of $8 RCAs i bought from Autozone. They worked but they sent a buzz throught my sub that was audible even when the radio was turned down to almost nothing. So, spend the $20 on a "good" set and you won't have to worry

was it next to your power wire? thats the main cause of that......I thought the $20 ones were the cheap ones lol

spent 15 or 20 on my stingers and ive been using them for almost 7 years!

oh, by the way, this might help you, its what i used to build mine.....

My RCA cables went down the right side and the power was down the left. so, definitely not that. but i hear you, i run the "cheap" JL RCA cables that are $22 for 18 footers

the site i posted is a great place for all the possible configurations.

also, winISD is a program which will give you everything you could want.
highest frequency, lowest frequency, it dimensions the best box for you, and a bunch of other stuff.

so, good luck and let us know

I've heard it matters with quality to run your wires together. I'm assuming this is true. Where did you guys run your wires? I ran mine from the battery down the fender into the wiring from the door and behind the glove box. Then down by the center console and just taped them together and ran them on the floor down the middle(I know, but I was planning on changing them as when I put them in I was short on cash and went to the hardware store for some plain old electrical wire). Don't give me too much greif lol. Probably not this week, but the next week I'll grab the subs or amp(4th of July usually get's expensive for me lol). I think I'll take it a week at a time. $13,000 to go before I'm debt free and then save for a down payment on a house! Been laid off since December and just starting working again a couple weeks ago. Paying off my bills are more important to me than subs right now(that's why I sold my other ones). Sucked pretty bad with only unemployment and 1700 a month in bills, got behind a bit. Don't want to go threw that again! Damn gilfriend needs a better job I'm not sure if the motel has a computer, if not, cya guys Friday.

no worries, we all understand that in todays world. mom was threatened of being laid off.

anyways, i ran my power wire down my driver side but need to rethink this when i install my comps. i'll be running them under truck tucked high right where the frame rail meets the actual body. this way there will be no interference and they have the frame protecting them (along with techflex and splitloom)

I'm thinking about doing the same with mine cause I think running 1/0 through my engine bay and through the firewall will be a pain.

Take your time 88s10blazer, well still be here when you get back. Not like we have anything better to do... lol
