and it really is a science. there are sooooo many tricks you can do to a port's size and shape that'll affect it's performance. even putting a radius on the leading edge of a port will change the tuning of a box.

the debate between ported & sealed is more about what you want (regarding performance) from your enclosure. personally, i'd go for sealed, they're smaller & compact, and the sealed box for my two 12W6's in my '92 could be heard from 6 blocks away, and hit 153 db's.

With my 2004 2 door i used this setup in the summer time and until i recently redid my trunk.

once i started working full time i switched it around to my current setup which isn't finished (you can't really paint when its all of 15 degrees outside haha)

Thats my 2 cents on how to keep some space while still having a system.
