Question about speakers.

Question about speakers.
I recently replaced my stereo and my rear speakers. I put 6.5" 2-ways in the rear doors. Now Iwantto replace the front speakers but I have a question. I know there are tweeters in the dash, but what's in the front door? Is it a woofer/tweeter 2-way, or just a woofer?
Just wondering cause I wanted to put 2-way speakers in the front doors also.
Thanks.

RE: Question about speakers.
I think it may vary from different trim levels. Some have coax's (2 way) in the front door and nothing in the dash. Some have coax in the door and coax in the dash and some, like mine, had a component set. That is, the 6.5" woofer in the door and the tweeter in the dash. I replaced all my door speakers with coax's and replaced the tweeter in the dash with a 4"x6" plate speakers.

Ya, well I know that there's a tweeter inmy dash cause I opened it and checked. But will the head unit be able to handle 6 speakers if I put 2-way coax in all doors and dash?

RE: Question about speakers.
Yeah, you shouldn't have a problem, I put a component system in the front of my Blazer, so I replaced the woofer in the door, and then I put the tweeters in the pillars. It doesn't really matter if you put a 2 way coax speaker in the door or a component system, the head unit will still see the same OHM load, the only difference is that with a component system, you can place the tweeter where ever you want as opposed to a coaxial system, where the tweeter only goes where you put the woofer.
