Default Radio Antenna

I have just recently joined here, and I have to say there is a ton of great info from you guys. My question is- has anyone had problems with the radio reception from your truck antenna? I have installed a new deck in my blazer and I can only get 3 radio stations regularly. The other stations come in and out depending on the weather. So how what can I do to get better reception?

were you able to get more stations with the stock radio? did you check to make sure, no wires are crossed/misplaced?

Honestly I think I might have been able to get more stations with the stock radio. I did however try moving the ant. wire to different areas with no luck as far as better reception. I have even tried adding more ground wires (grounding the hood to the frame). I am not running the ant. wire near any power wires or anything. I am still at a lost though.
