Default No rear speakers sound

Do yo think that is the problem? With left and right rear speakers both? This 2001 blazer has been garage kept all its life. Just by looking its hard to believe the speakers in rear only dumped on me. Anyway, I hope your right and it is just the speakers only. gonna give some new ones a try. Any othe suggestion? I would like to know if anyone has had to replace the head unit because the rear speakers didn't work?

Default rear speakers and Ohms..

I've replaced my front right speaker that was bad and now have stereo sound at least, but I'm still planning to replace the 2 back speakers. Can anyone explain what difference it makes that the original equipment speakers in rear are 9.5 Ohms, while the fronts are 4 Ohms? In other words, can I just buy a pair of regular Pioneers or similar and put them in the rears, and they will sound OK or will they be distorted or something? Thanks in advance.

Thank you all! Although I find this thing most annoying, it looks like an easy fix...

I have a 2001 ZR2 that I have the right rear speaker out, orders some Rockfords and will be replacing them when I get them in the mail. Hope my problem is the same.

New speakers in and they work, I should have done this years ago.

well I see I sure aint alone in the dead rear speaker department lol. My 99 2 dr's rears used to cut off and on, either 1 or both, then nothing. I had gone and sealed all the interior trim with caulking to try minimize the annoying plastic buzzes these slapped-together Blazers produce so well; got a big job now to replace them uggh
