Default Sirius radio install

Hey I have had my sirius radio for months now and all of a sudden my power cord broke so I decided to buy the professional install kit. I am pretty good with car stereos as I have installed many in my cars and my friends cars. My only question is that with the new installation kit I have to hook a power wire up to the accessory wire in the car. I am not exactly sure which wire is the accessory wire. Is it the yellow one? Also does anybody have any suggestions as to where to mount my sportster 4???

Ok so I went to install my car kit today but for some reason i could get no power going to my sirius radio. I have an aftermarket pionner radio which was on display at circuit city so the guys at circuit city had already done a bunch of wiring. They had a tag on a red wire that said ACC which i figured was the accessory wire. I tried to hardwire into this one but got no power. I then spliced into a yellow wire which said +12v battery and still got no power. I then spliced into the original yellow wire that comes straight from the car and could not get any power. Any idea why I am not getting power??

If your radio is working fine you should be able to tap into the ACC wire(red wire), this is the one when you turn your key on the satrad and all accessories come on. then find a good ground, if you can't find one I would ground it with the black wire on the receiver.

is yellow really switched power back behind the dash? I've always stayed away from any yellow wire (airbag)! Then again...my IPFs are wired up with yellow wire...hah..

If your radio is working fine you should be able to tap into the ACC wire(red wire),
There is no red wire in a blazer for acc.
